Access to flats
To go from the parking to the flats, you have two options. You either take the access corridor to the elevator, or you take the stairs.
Access Corridor to the Elevator
Let's first see the evolution of the corridor over time.
Move in (June 2023)
Getting the keys to the flat in June 2023, I find a part of the building we didn't visit during the viewing (we entered the building from the first floor during the visit).
Covering the issue (November 2023)
The hole in the ceiling was fixed, and paint applied to the walls
Time passes, slip hazard stays (February 2024)
The corridor stays true to MCR Homes' quality and safety standards.
Back to its original state (March 2024)
The ceiling goes back to looking as when I first moved into my MCR Homes flat
At the time of writing (end April 2024), there is still a big hole
Access through the stairs
Another option to get from the parking to your flat is to take the stairs. There, too, you have mold.
Update: 22/10/24
I moved out of the building in May 2024. End of October, I hapened to be in High Wycombe and decided to go and check the MCR Homes building.
Although I don't have the keys (and shouldn't have access), the door to enter the building by the corridor was open (and unatended) and I let myself in. The hole hasn't been fixed, mold is still present on the walls, it still smells bad. However, there is now an additionnal issue: the elevator was out of order. There was no light signaling it was out of order, it seem to just have no electricity.
