Move-in at MCR Homes
I am sure this process goes more smoothly for some people. Here is my personal experience and what could happen to you if you choose to become a resident of MCR Homes.
Tenant Having to Plan the Move-in
When renting from someone, you would expect them to plan a date and time to get the keys to access the property. My experience with MCR Homes was different. I had to call them and jump through hoops for a meeting to be arranged. I now know not to expect much from MCR Homes, but when this happens to you for the first time, it highlights their negligence. They might just be disorganized, but overall, they are unprofessional.

The No-Show Incident
Now that a meeting was planned, you would think I would just have to show up and get access to the property I was renting. But once again, we are not dealing with a decent company here. Instead of showing up to the meeting, they sent an email. While I was waiting in front of the building (I like to arrive early), they didn't call to inform me no one was going to show up. Luckily, as I had time to waste, I checked my email and saw they had sent an email, AN EMAIL, to tell me to go get the keys myself from a letting agency.
I started to realize the type of company MCR Homes is, and the type of person they employ. But I now have the keys, I should be able to access the flat and start living in it.

Unfinished "Brand New" Flat, with Holes in the Walls
As I believe you already know, the flat was dirty, with marks and dents on the walls, and holes in the ceiling and walls.
I was not expecting a rental company to let you move into an unfinished flat. I've heard stories about the living conditions of some council housing (which are worse than what I had), but I wasn't expecting someone paying full price to be given a flat in this state.

First day and already so many issues; it's going to be a long tenancy. I already can't wait to move out.
